Business Development Representative

Remote – Full Time – US

Gray Decision Intelligence (Gray DI) is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the growth of a company that is making a real difference in the higher education space. We provide an academic Program Evaluation System (PES) that combines software, data, and facilitated processes to empower colleges and universities to make data-informed decisions that increase enrollment, strengthen financial performance, and improve student outcomes.

The Role

As a BDR, you will be on the front lines of our sales process, responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with our Sales Team to build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, thrives on friendly competition, and is dedicated to achieving and exceeding measurable performance goals. This is a remote position, and we are seeking an individual who is comfortable and effective in a work-from-home environment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email campaigns, and social media outreach.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and key industry trends in higher education.
  • Qualify leads and assess their potential to become a Gray DI client.
  • Schedule discovery meetings and demonstrations for RVPs.
  • Work collaboratively with sales and marketing to develop and implement effective prospecting strategies.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and sales activities in our CRM system (HubSpot).
  • Stay informed about Gray DI’s products, services, and the competitive landscape to effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients.
  • Report on weekly and monthly sales results and progress toward key performance indicators (KPIs).

What We’re Looking For

  • 2-5 years of proven experience as a Business Development Representative, Sales Development Representative, or in a similar sales role, with a strong track record of success.
  • Proficiency with CRM software such as HubSpot or Salesforce is required.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple priorities effectively in a remote work environment.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
  • A natural curiosity and the desire to continuously learn and improve.
  • The ability to deal with and thrive on objections and rejection on a daily basis.
