We are seeking a dynamic and client-focused Account Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about higher education and technology and have a proven ability to build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with clients. You will be the primary point of contact for a portfolio of higher education institutions, ensuring their continued success and maximizing the value they derive from Gray DI’s PES and its new AI services for students.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with a portfolio of higher education clients, acting as their trusted advisor and primary point of contact.
- Understand client needs, objectives, and challenges related to academic program evaluation and institutional strategy.
- Educate clients on the full capabilities of Gray DI’s Program Evaluation System (PES), its AI solutions for students, and how they can help the college achieve its goals.
- Proactively identify opportunities for account growth, including upselling and cross-selling additional Gray DI solutions and services.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product and customer success, to ensure client satisfaction and successfully implement and adopt our software.
- Conduct regular business reviews with clients to demonstrate value, discuss performance metrics, and gather feedback.
- Support contract renewals and extensions, ensuring favorable client and Gray DI terms.
- Stay informed about trends and developments in higher education, data analytics, and AI to better serve clients.
- Address client inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to the development of account strategies and sales forecasts.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- 3+ years of experience in account management, sales, or a customer-facing role, preferably within a B2B SaaS or technology company serving the higher education sector
- Strong understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management (CRM) practices
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to build rapport and trust with diverse stakeholders, including university presidents, provosts, deans, and academic leaders
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to client success
- Proficiency in HubSpot is preferred
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
